Hard drive disappears after recovering from sleep mode

I am experiencing this problem with my slave/ second hard drive. I recently installed a program called sd4hide (safedisc 4 hider) to run with Daemon tools (virtual drive program). Apparently sd4hider changes the system registry in order for it to work and when you r done using it, there is an option to restore/ reset the reg back to normal. After using that option in the program to reset what the program had done, i later went on to put my com into sleep mode. when i recovered windows from sleep mode later on and went to 'My Computer', I found that my second hard drive went missing. It was also missing when i checked in 'device manager'. The LED which shows that my computer is busy stays on as if trying to find the drive. I also did a system restore to the last known good configuration but the problem persist. Any suggestions?

Re: Hard drive disappears after recovering from sleep mode

I have the EXACT WORD FOR WORD problem. I don't know how to stop it from doing that. But I have found an easier way of getting it to show up after it happens than rebooting it. Right Click My computer and click hardware tab. Then click the Device Manager. Then click on Disk Drives. Then click on Action > Scan for hardware changes. Your hard drives should show back up again. If you find out a way to prevent it tell me.
