Alright, I've been trying to install The Sims Deluxe but I keep getting an error. I think it's because the CD is scratched. I don't really want to buy a new CD, considering I already have it---I mean I have the serial number and everything, I just can't get it to install! Is there anywhere online that I can the installation files? I think it might be the data2.cab file in the Setup folder of Disk1 (Because I tried to manually install it by copying all the files and I kept getting an error with that file.) I saw on a message board that the data2.cab file of any of the expansion packs work as well, but I copied it from the Vacation expansion pack and it didn't seem to help? So does that not work, or am I just not seeing the file that's not working? Anyone have suggestions...email me. Thanks!

I had this same exact problem with data3.cab , but had to buy a new cd. I looked everywhere I could to find a solution, but couldn't find one. I originally had the Sims, but got the Sims Deluxe Edition when I got the replacement. It was on sale, though. It cost $19.99 (I think), the same price as EA's replacement CD.

Easiest thing to do is probably go on eBay and get a new cd, or download one from somewhere and make a new cd, and use your own CD key (I tried this, but could never find my own version so the key wouldn't work) with it.
