What exactly is freelancing? I always wanted to find out!

It means different things to different people, but usually it means being a freelance computer contractor. You run a sole proprietership as a contractor and take short-term jobs w/ companies or people to do a certain job for them, e.g. develop a custom web app, design a database, or maybe just come in to help a team finish a project in time.

Because you get to choose the jobs you take, your salary and workload are as much as you want.
