real quick crash question

my comp crashed.
i tried a million things to restore it with all the data intact.
now i think the drive might be wiped clean.

question: if when i boot from cd, try to reinstall windows, and it shows me only 1 partition called

C: "Partition1 [Unknown]" 117240 MB (117239 MB free)

does that mean the drive is empty?

Re: real quick crash question

Yes. At least, its "table of contents" is blank so even if the data itself is intact, your OS can't see it because the index to it is missing.
