Yup. You need a special video card for it and a special cable. I think it only outputs to your tv via your monitor. The tv won't bring in the resolution that you want tho, the monitor DPI is awesome compared to a tv's.

That what I though I have a Geforce 3 TI 200 that will let me connect to the TV. But when I tried it not good. The TV uses a 640 x 480 and that ok for something’s but not other. But I was able to find out that all I need is a HDTV so I guess I know that I'm getting next. I've been wanting for sometime now, This is the prefect reason to go buy one or at least as good as any.

Thanks

P.S. I like the Avatar.

Goodluck with it. I would just buy a larger monitor. You still wont get as good of a picture if you use that type of tv.

I just thought I would update on the whole TV Monitor thing. I found a few interesting things out about this. I did try it and it's served its purpose. The Resolution isn't but I've found that it has more to do with the video card. I tried my Geforce 3 and the best resolution I was able to get was 800 x 600 but with my Geforce FX I was able to get it to go to 1024 x 768 with a standard TV. So I didn't get that HDTV yet but soon I hope. Anywise the computer monitor was the problem here I have a 19" monitor but I'm working on run the TVs in my home off of computers.

Thanks for keeping us updated here. I wonder how this works with other Graphics cards.

Actually I found that this work with at least two. I didn't know this but after my friend got a ATI 9600 he was the one who found that his card would do 1024 x 768 so that’s when I decided to try my new card and it worked he contacted ATI and I contacted Nvidia and they both told us the same thing it depends on your cards TV Decoder. I also confirmed this by search the Internet.

Yep it funny how things seem to go in circles. My personal favorite is the music and cartoons. I remember as a kid watching my cartoons and listens to music in my room when I played. Now all my cartoons are gone and the music I use to listen to is only played on oldie stations. It does have a way of making you feel old.
