Mfchello,
i'd like to learn some MFC because, frankly, i'm sick to death of the black and white consoles i've been glaring at for the past few months whilst learning c++, and would like to at least have maybe a window with a button in it to stare at now and then. anyway, I was just wondering if anyone has any books to recommend....... and before i get too far into the whole c++ thing - can somebody reassure me that i'm not wasting my time by not going straight into c#? |

I don't know about that. I don't see many people getting very excited about C#. Learning it is a slight gamble, I'm still unsure about why exactly we need another programming language! But it's syntactically strict, and highly object oriented. Making it a great foundation if you want to explore Java or C++. They're all a bit similar really. I can't tell the future, no matter how often I disassemble that magic 8 ball, so I've no idea if C# will be used in 10 years time! GF |
