FAQ - Challenger ForumQ1. What is this contest about?
It's very simple, all you have to do is be the first to answer (correctly) up to 15 questions per month and accumulate points (multiplied) by your post count! Q2. Can you explain a little bit more about these 15 questions? There are 3 rounds to each contest, each month. Round I : 4 Challenger Questions 1 Bonus Question Round II : 4 Challenger Questions 1 Bonus Question Round III : 4 Challenger Questions 1 Bonus Question Q3. So, does that mean I have to answer ALL 15 questions? No, because at the end of the monthly contest the person with the most points wins - so if after 14 questions the highest points earned by the leading contender is 999, you still have the chance to 'steal' the prize by winning the last Bonus question which will earn you 1,000 points! Q4. What can you tell us about the points? Round I : Challenger Questions = 1 point x post count Bonus Question = 100 points Round II : Challenger Questions = 2 points x post count Bonus Question = 200 points Round III : Challenger Questions = 3 points x post count Bonus Question = 1,000 points Q5. Can I post 2 or more answers to a question? Posting consecutively in the same thread will automatically disqualify your answers. However you may post your corrected answer after a post by another member in the same thread (however, note that only the first correct answer gets the points!). Q6. How will the BONUS questions work? After the Bonus Questions are asked, you have 24 hours to guess / research the correct answer. The closest entry to the correct answer wins the Bonus points. (in the case of 2 or more identical correct answers, the first such post wins). In the BONUS question round, you are ENCOURAGED to post multiple times, again subject to having one other member post before you in the same thread. Q7. Hey! I CAN'T edit my posts in the Challenger Forums! Yes, this is deliberately disabled ONLY on this forum, so be extra certain that your answer is correct before you hit the Submit button or pray that the next post by another member is also wrong - so you may post again. Note, that as long as the answer is wrong (in the case of the Challenger Questions) the thread will NOT be closed. Q8. Who is giving away the prizes? The prizes for the contest are sponsored by 3 major web hosting companies. They are listed below every viewtopic.php page (like this one) of this Message Board. Feel free to check them out so you can convince yourself that they're all excellent giveaways. This FAQ will be added to frequently so check back often... __________________
