Computer ScienceHi all,
I started getting into programming early this summer, with some previous experience. As I go through these beginner books I notice that most of it is all semantics with the same things: loops, if statements, etc etc. I understand these things and what I want is to learn more about computer SCIENCE not computer PROGRAMMING. I want to learn about algorithms, data structures etc. etc. --- Any book recommendations? |

Re: Computer ScienceQuote:
If you're beginning with these concepts, I'd recommend: www.amazon.com Sam's Teach Yourself Data Structures and Algorithms in 24 hours. It is a simple, easy-to-use book. Here is another good one: www.amazon.com Mastering Algorithms with C. :davis: |

Re: Computer ScienceYou can also look at http://www.ibiblio.org/obp/thinkCS/cpp.php (How to think like a Computer Scientist). It has books for Java, C++, and Python.
