System unable to perform auto-shutdownHi,
I am using WondowsXP sp-2 Operating system and have an ATX cabinet, initially when i installed XP on my system it used to auto-shutdown itself but when i recently formatted my hard-disk and re-installed OS it is unable to auto-shutdown and i have to manually do it even it takes longer time like 5-10 minutes to shutdown, auto-shutdown works good on millenium,2000, 98 and earlier version of windows OS's... Can u recommend any software for auto-shutdown Regard's, |

Re: System unable to perform auto-shutdownYou probably have APCI disabled. Have you been messing with the BIOS?

Re: System unable to perform auto-shutdownAPCI needs to be enabled when you install windows. If APCI was disabled, you'll need to reinstall windows now. It needs to be enabled both in the bios and the OS. The only way to enable it in windows is to reinstall. As long as it is enabled in the bios, it will be installed when you install windows, so doing a fresh install should fix it now.
