Printer-Friendly page...

I designed a database system for a customer to display insurance quotes submitted via their online forms. In this admin section, I have a quote-details page with the capability of producing a printer-friendly version of the table that displays all of the information.

This PF version has only black text (though I do have a black background and white text for headings). Internet Explorer and Firefox both print this out perfectly. They actually remove the black background and make the text black... and everything else prints properly. However, my client uses a Mac... and their browser of choice is Safari. I've never used Safari and I don't have access to a Mac, but they are complaining that the PF version of the admin section doesn't print very "friendly"... they say it comes out ALL-black. Now, I know I could probably just take out the black background areas of the PF version page (and I'll probably do that), but does anyone know why this is occurring in Safari?

Thanks,
Trey

Re: Printer-Friendly page...

I have a Mac. Do you have a sample page that I could load up and see what happens? No guarantees though.

Safari uses the Konqueror HTML-parser IIRC, so it may be worth your time (if you're able) to test the page under Konqueror in Linux.

BTW, what's stopping your client from just using Firefox for this? I've got Safari, FF, and Opera all installed and use them as necessary for my purposes.
