FIFA WorldCup 2006 GermanyWell the FIFA WorldCup have already started.
I'm not really a football/soccer fans but I'm curious to watch the game. But most of the time the pace of the game is slow (my opinion only). Does anyone here a football fanatic? can anyone tell me which nation/team is fun to watch? -regards jaro __________________

Re: FIFA WorldCup 2006 GermanyJaro,
Thank you again for posting this. I thought we lost all the football fans since the last FIFA World Cup discussion in 2002. I don't consider myself a football fanatic but I try not to miss the FIFA World Cup games or even the European Cup tournament (that also happens every four years). Since yesterday, every team has played at least once already. Brazil, the ever popular favourite to win the tournament, was dissappointing in their first match. Still it was fun just to see Ronaldinho smiling at every opportunity and of course my favourite, Roberto Carlos. Having watched most of the teams play these past few days, the one that most impressed me was Trinidad & Tobago. They held on to a draw in their opening match against Sweden despite having just 10 men! I hope they (T&T) win their match against England tonight! They remind me of Cameroon... the underdogs who shocked the world, at least for a while. __________________

Re: FIFA WorldCup 2006 GermanyIt was shocking and that's putting it mildly... I was utterly confused as well. "Why?", I kept asking myself... But now, we will always be talking about this Zinedine Zidane head-butt for, well, forever. He is one sneaky guy... he immortalised his name this way. After all, his football career is now over. Since he missed scoring with that beautiful header in the second half, I suppose he thought he had to leave his mark some other way... __________________
