read some of the forum posts about this card my problem however is slightly diferent!! When playing games (most FPS)after a few seconds the game resizes to about a quarter of the available screen size. tried latest drivers from nvidia, latest driver from leadtek, installed driver for monitor (Iiyama 19") all to no avail. Ive tried changing resolutions for desktop (normal is 1280X1024) and within the game nothing works. strangly red faction 2 has no problems at all and will happily run full screen from 800X600 to 1600X1200. I fear the hammer is raised above this graphics Please help. steve

Could you tell me what system you are using? I had a look at the red faction 2 requirements and it needs Direct x 8.1, but lots of FPS games need OpenGL. I know for sure that within the settings for some of these games its possible to switch from direct X to open GL. If you can do this, will you try changing to whatever it isn't at the moment and seeing if the problem persists.

thanks for your quick response, I tried the omega drivers just now but no joy. My system is an amd 2700xp on a gigabyte ga-7vaxp kt400 chipset with one gig of ram. I changed from a gforce TI 4600 maybe that was the first mistake as there were no problems with that. I will try some of my older games most of the ones I have tried appear to auto detect and use opengl with no where to change to directx I have version 9 installed. One thing the omega drivers have done is to stabilise the display there was a slight flicker at all refresh rates. Thanks Steve.

There should be some internal settings available for you to customise in the games even if it does auto detect in the first place.

quick update. Games affected with the resizing problem are devastation, urban terror, elite force 2, medal of honour. Games unaffected unreal2, UT2003, red faction 2.
House of the dead 2 continues to play with the screen black. Do I need to delete a config file to get the newer games to redetect my graphics card because I can find no way of changing from opengl to directX within the existing start up section. Also I noticed that windows works fine -- so I downloaded a microsoft game demo and that went blank after a few minutes but continued to play in the background. If anyone's not bored by now I still need any help you can give, steve.
