I am so amazed at how dumb I am. Ok so I fixed this problem I had ..and I guess in the process. I deleted windows task manager..I found it..I just dont know what program to open it with. Any one know?

Assuming Windows XP:
ctrl-alt-delete gives you a "Task Manager" button (among other things). Or you can run "taskmgr" from the Start->run menu (or press the "Flag-R" keys at the same time and enter taskmgr).

I know that..but I get an error message that says i need to choose a program to run it on

Here's what I meant.

Open Windows explorer.
Navigate to \Windows\system32
look at properties of taskmgr.exe (should be about 135K bytes or so).
Double-click on taskmgr.exe


If it doesn't open up the "Windows Task Manager" window, then you are hosed to a point where I can't help. Maybe someone else can. Sorry.
