Hi i've just found this site and really need your help my problem seems to be a bit different from the others, ive got the english version of silver trying to run it on windows XP... I can install the game just fine but i try to run it and the cd spins but nothin else happens ive try compatibility modes, cpu killer, dosbox, and nothing happens,
ive also tryed the xp patches (the plain english patch and newer videocard patch)an neither work this is what i get when i try and use the english patch

Either this is not Silver, or you've got a version that is not supported. (in which case, let me know and I'll fix it)

I have looked everywhere and tryed just about everything but still i click start and not a thing happens...
If anyone knows anything else i could try i would be very grateful if you let me know as i really really want to play this game again...

Intel Pentium 4, CPU 3.40Ghz
2.78 Ghz, 1.00 GB Ram
with windows Xp Version 2002

I'm tring to found out more about this but I need to know did you buy this computer from a store or did you build it yourself?

What file system are you using? To find this just go to my computer and highlight the harddrive in the details view on the left said will say file system is this NTFS or FAT?

I bought the computer ready made and im using the NTFS file system, ive just tryed installing virtual PC with windows 98 which that other guy said is 100% supposed to work but nothing happens when i try and run silver just the same as on XP ... any clues?
oh btw i have a Geforce 6200se turbocache 256 mb if that helps

hey all, afraid i also have a problem with this troublesome little game:
iv just got past the oracle bug but as soon as i try and use my map the game crashes, leaving just an exception.. error box

I am on the oracle bug how do u get past it?

by the way i got silve working by going onto properties and changing the compatibility to windows 95/98
the insert the disc and go on run, it should work

If what fredster said isnt working for you, try looking up silveruk_geforce2patch_v2.zip on google to make Silver work for the UK version

I had the same problem with the oracle, tried everything including CPUKiller and other stuff but havent found a place where i can find the Oracle save game... if anyone has it for the UK version of the game pls send to halchadwick@hotmail.com

I Got Past The Oracle Bug

Ok, fredster ill send you the savegame (its just after the crash so u havent missed any fighting)

Anyone else who wants the file send an e-mail to halchadwick@hotmail.com asking for it and i'll send it to you (this is only the UK version)

I'm currently still receiving emails for the savegame/patch, so if you need help don't be afraid to use the same email as above to contact me. I have a savegame after the oracle bug which i have not currently found vivian or the fire orb.
