Everyone seems to want PHP / mysql scripts these days and it is advantageous to flaunt your work on the big sites such as those mentioned in the subject line: hotscripts, freshmeat and sourceforge.

Have a look at this site: http://obiewebsite.sourceforge.net/

He's got his work not only hosted by sourceforge, with the rating boxes appearing all over the place for hotscripts, but also announces his releases on Freshmeat and he's getting heavy traffic all the time seeing his site.

I've seen many a hotscripts release just be a page on a forum explaining how it works along with a dowload link to the script.

Spring any ideas?

That's a bit of a twist - checked out the summary page, nothing in the CVS, no Support Requests.

I wonder how far this idea will go?

I am thinking now if I put up a load of open source code on my site - I can get it hosted at SourceForge. Hmmmmmm.... :-?

Well... JdS's error page script gets a few hits to my website, I am sure it gets some to here as well.

I get around 10-30/day from hotscripts just by posting ONE simple error page script.

Its listed #1 on their for PHP 404 Error Page scripts. One of the most popular script libraries around.
