Something annoying on this forum is when you reply or start a thread you notice the space between the IMG and the # buttons. Also, when you want to display some code, you have to first enter a single line into the code, and then afterwards enter in the rest of the code.

Maybe instead of this, you can make it so when you click on the PHP button, it writes [php] on the next line, then PHP button changes to /PHP and then you click it to end the code. IMO, this would be so much easier to use.

One other thing you might want to add to is a QuickEdit feature. I know there is a hack for this for the vBulletin Board found here: http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread/t-54851.html

What it allows you to do is click a radio button to edit the post. Then a regular input button to 'Save Changes' to the post or 'Cancel' the edit.

Yeah I don't use the vB code things any more and just hand type everything since the popups annoy me so greatly. PHPbb or a hack of it handles this much better rather than forcing you off the page. Another thing that drives me nuts is when you click a smiley it appears at the end of your text rather than where your Caret is.

Quickedit is a neat idea, but I don't think it is of much value since the editing ability ends pretty quickly. Quickreply however I would appreciate as it really is quite useful. I'm sure JDS has his reasons for why and why not to use them.

Sometimes it takes anywhere from 2 seconds to 4 mintues to view a page here. When I am at home, I get routed through about 4 places with 2000MS and various others (about 16) at 1000ms or less. So sssslllloooooowww. You should take a look at it in use, if you haven't then think if it is useful or not, because it sure saves tons of time.

Yeah a quickreply shown at www.poa-forums.com would be nice too.

Actually, if you ask Garth Farley, we were discussing this feature "Quick Reply" even way back before it became fashionable like it has now. I remember he even wrote a fine hack for it but I didn't use it... At the time we were still using phpBB to run this board.

I've always liked the idea of the "Quick Reply" but I was just stalling (like I usually do) and it didn't happen for no other reason.

Since I am planning to move this forum to it's own domain in a few weeks using the latest version of vBulletin (which already includes this wonderful feature), I just felt it unnecessary to add on anymore hacks to this board.
