The boom in open source development presented an good opportunities to webmasters. Now everyone can manage a site with tools such as forums, e-commerce applications, galleries, blogs, etc. without having to invest neither too much money nor time in this. There are however a number of security dangers that the novice webmaseter should beware of when using open source applications and dynamic web scripts written in PHP or Perl.
