Over the last few years there has been a lot of talk about CPM (banner) ads and popups/popunders being on their last legs. CPC programs like Google's Adsense have been top-notch performers but in my case affiliate programs have shown a downward trend.
In such a situation I have found that sites...

I found a new PPC affiliate program. I used adsense till now, but I changed it.
On one of my site (i have 35 working sites): f1central.net, adsense
gave me an average bidprice of 7 cents per click. They probably bill
the advertiser for 70 cents with their huge marketplace. Targetpoint
gives me an...

There are some common "best practices" when it comes to ad placements on a webpage. Many of these are just common sense, but I have finally come across some research on how to best place advertisements.
The findings are interesting (long read though) and I will probably try to tweak some of my...

I have looked at quite a few...

I like how you set up adsense in the signatures. How did you do this? It seems like a good idea to get more revenue going. First time I have seen that, nice move. How successful are the results?

Google made another major change to its Adsense program on Sept 1, 2004. In the past they have required publishers to only have one ad unit per page (even though the TOS has been ambiguous). It now seems that they have mastered the technology to ensure that they do not double serve the same ads...

I signed up as a www.bingohall.com affiliate on Sunday 15th August 2004. For most of the rest of the day, I was able to login to check my stats. and the link code I was sent linking parts of my website to bingohall were working. 2004 has been yet another interesting year for Internet revenue streams. I thought it might be interesting to see what members have seen in their own revenue situations so far this year. You don't have to put any specific numbers....general trends will do.
My revenue from the first half of this...

We know that spyware/malware is annoying - all those popups, slowing down machines, and showing hijacked search results. But it is also a huge problem for affiliates, affiliate managers, and online merchants. Here is an interesting article;

I was a little surprised to see an email from Google this evening, stating that they are now releasing targetted image ads to the Adsense program. I haven't tried it out yet, nor have I seen any sites running these image ads, but to me this could be a pretty big thing in the online ad business.

The last few weeks have been quite busy at Google's Adsense program.
It started with the addition of "channels", a long waited way to track seperate websites or ad formats.
A couple of days ago Google notified its publishers that they have revamped their algorithm that tracks how much a click...
