I'd like to suggest adding some additional .NET programming forums. (C#, VB.NET and/or ASP.NET). The current .NET forum could be more about general .NET topics (ie what is the CLR, what's new in 2.0 etc).
When posting/replying to questions it saves a little time if the context has already been set...

Here's an error I received when trying to move backward in a forum topic, i.e. I was in page 2 and clicked the page 1 button and got the error. I also got the error when I clicked on the "<" icon. I was in the Python forum, in case it's only topic specific.

FYI:
At 11:25 CST we got the following message a few times
There were "Currently Active Users: 162 (5 members and 157 guests)"
This is the first time I remember ever seeing this error. Not sure what can be done, but I thought I'd mention it since new servers are being used.

It seems as if this forum would be more productive and organized if it were split into 2 subforums, one for C language programming and the other for C++. C and C++ are so different that it would be much easier of people could ask straight C questions in a special area and those C++-centric issues...

Hi admins,
Now the Java version of Python named Jython has been in 2.1 version.
http://www.jython.org
I think it's better to create sub forum named "Jython" under Python forum.
Please take it into accounts.
Thank you so much for your consideration.

Hi J,
I was wondering if you could add one small thing to the box I'm typing in at this moment. Could a keystroke be added (similar to Ctrl-B) that can add the kbd]kbd] pair? Like maybe Ctrl-K?
This would be really kool!
Gracias Monsieur for your consideração

Greetings and Salutations fellow GIDians (I always wanted to start a post like that!)
This past year has brought around a few changes in my life (most all positive) and I have been extremely lax in my duties here as a super-moderator. I should have taken action about this sooner, but I always...

I nearly forgot to mention this...
Over the next few days, I will be busy testing the upgrade to GIDForums™ at this closed location: www.gidforums.net.
This is just for your information.

Hey guys,
I was thinking about the Gmail notifier ... Why can't we have are own (better) notifier here at GIDforums ? I meen, we guys can write something at least as good as the Gmail notifier, Can't we ?
Why not write are own notifier and make life easier ?
Think about it,
Kobi Hikri.

I can't remember if we discussed this since the upgrade so here goes nothing...
When reading a post and using the back button (FF 1.0.7) the post would then be properly marked as read (no longer showing the new post icon). This was great for reading a busy forum like the C/C++ Forums where there...

Hello friends,
The ads below the links of the gidforums main page always poses a problem to me.
See the attachment for the picture.
Whether it is google ads or other ads, it appears in front of the quick links.
Regards, :D
Paramesh.

I am going to implement the option for you to customise the width of the code example boxes i.e. for CPP, C#, VB, PHP & other languages.
You can set any value between 100 - 999 (pixels) by logging in, visiting the Edit Options page and looking for the (last) option under the heading: Thread...

I am still behind schedule but I may go ahead and upgrade the forums on the 21st of September, 2005 i.e. in a couple of days.
Depending on your time-zone, you may find the site closed for the duration of the upgrade late Tuesday / early Wednesday.
I expect some errors to happen very soon after...

Hello friends,
When we are logged in, at the right top of the page, it displays our name,
You last visited, and the private messages.
I found a problem when logging out of the GIDForums.
When i click the logout link, it shows a message:
"Are you sure you want to logout?".
