There must be hundreds of articles on the web about getting rid of spammers, but this one is particularly funny. In fact, I might even try the e-mail one sometime

My favourite newsletter of the week came out today from B3ta. http://www.b3ta.com/newsletter/issue97/ and to quote it
Has anyone got any ideas about what we could do?

Its amusing to see what adverts pop up on bits of the forum that we post. We are talking about hiding our trail, being anonymous, not getting caught, preventing ip from being seen etc.. When I just checked someone was selling a product to clear the pages that you viewed in IE of the search bar, I...

Not sure if anyone is interested in knowing about wi-fi, but the new standard 802.11g will be backwards compatible with 802.11b .
More news about the wi-fi standard update...

What really is the Matrix? We'd better find out fast, cause bots are taking over the boards.
Have a look at UltraBot, on the UltraShock forums, and go to the Test board at the bottom. In case there are those who say that Artificial Intelligence is rubbish, I quote:
OK, this bot doesn't have a...

Whilst looking for a contact number for Google (fat chance) I forgot they don't use phones whatsoever apart from within the lift at the Googleplex for safety reasons.
Anyway, I came across this: http://catalogs.google.com/ that has scanned in pictures of the catalog / catalogue. The amazing thing...

I'm sure that unless you are a keen webmaster/search engine enthusiast, you will have never heard of searchhippo.com. This is basically a one man project (like gigablast) who made a search engine as a hobby and did pretty well.
If you go to http://www.searchhippo.com/tech-overview.php you can...

I started searching for potato powered clocks after having a conversation with my girlfriend who didn't believe that they worked or ever existed. Whilst searching for them, I found this http://totl.net/Spud/ a server that allegedly ran off 8-12 potatoes that hit the tech sites about 3 years ago,...

Go to http://google.icq.com/ and do a search. The thumbnails with the top SERPS are very cool.

This may be old to everyone by now, but I found it quite funny. Google puts itself at #5 for search engine on its own SERPS with Altavista, ATW and Yahoo lining up the top 3. Apparently it was #21 10 days back. http://www-fi.google.com/search?q=search+engine
Found on the Google weblog.

I have been following this issue with Burst.net and SPEWS.org with great interest.
I found a link to a thread here (don't ask me why, I have no clue either!) from that link and this is the ONLY reason why I found about that thread in the first place, so yeah...
It has been quite interesting to...

What are the top 5 sites that are essential for you on a general day (not including your own ;) ) . No need to place them in the order unless you feel strongly about it. This includes the work skipping sites too so cough up okay!. Should be interesting to see our little habits. Begin.

This came out a couple months back, but I thought it might be worth posting to see if there are any sites that you have missed. You probably won't have seen a lot of the unique sites, but a lot of them are worth checking out.

Those good folk in WiFi business are on our side after all!
I refer to this article from the Register, which reveals that 1000 pubs around the UK are going to be WiFi hotspots, allowing the dedicated staffer to concentrate on his work, in the comfort of his local.
Having obtained a WiFi card on...
