Hi,
Does anyone know of a way to get a favicon to show in Freeservers? I've been through all the basics that should work. Even javascript to "make sure" the icon loads. Nothing! I'm not sure if its Freeservers or not, even though I am upgrading to a premium package.
Let me know.

I've been playing with a CGI guestbook program and was curious to know if it would work at tripod.com... It does!
A few minor tweaks were necessary although these were done at my uklinux site before it got to tripod.

I'm one of the older Tripod users (October 2001) that had thier account "blessed" with 50Megs. At the Ikonbioard Forums there is a rumor going around that Tripod ise using Perl 5.00. I wanted to see if this is true so i ran a Perl test script. I chnaged it to work and surprisingly that is not true,...

right now i use AXS 2.3.0.0024 for it on my tripod pages but it doesn't work so well.

I actually managed to get a CGI script working on there. I just followed the tutorial for the guestbook and much to my surprise it worked. Much room for improvement though :D

If you're in the UK check out http://www.uklinux.net
They provide 20meg +php + mySQL or PostGres,
however unlike f2s you cannot connect directly to the MySQL database server which means you have to create database tables manually via the phpadmin interface :(
